Great Leaders are not born, they are made

During i was in age around 2 to 3 years old my grandmother has told me a story about a ducks adopted  by chicken. this story a almost same with the ugly duckling story.

The story start when the tale begins, a mother duck's eggs hatch. One of the little birds is perceived by the duck’s neighbors as a homely little creature and suffers much verbal and physical abuse. He wanders sadly from the barnyard and lives with wild ducks and geese until hunters slaughter the flocks. He then finds a home with an old woman but her cat and hen tease him mercilessly and again he sets off on his own. He sees a flock of migrating wild swans; he is delighted and excited but he cannot join them. Winter arrives. A farmer finds and carries the freezing little bird home, but the foundling is frightened by the farmer’s noisy children and flees the house. He spends a miserable winter alone in the outdoors but, when spring arrives, he is welcomed into a flock of beautiful swans for he has matured into one of them.

For me this story try to giving the message to us that social environment and education is not the most strongest factor in developing leadership but the nature ability that born together with the great leader are better than the made types leader.

In theory,  leadership means having an ability and desire to inspire and influence others. Based on that definition, I can certainly see the argument that leaders are born with leading qualities same as the ugly duckling story showing that how much it being to train to be a other types animal, it will not easily follow it because it was opposite from its nature.

If leadership means being courageous and willing to speak out for the betterment of those around you, I would think that leaders do not have to be born as such. I have seen people who consider themselves introverts and overall followers become successful leaders when faced with an issue they are passionate about.

If we define leadership as having a typical intelligence and creativity , then I am back to believing that it’s a trait you’re born with, although you may or may not continue to develop that trait through your life.

So, we all have areas of our lives where we have talent and propensity for success. If this is also an area you feel passionate about, you may exude qualities that are absent from other areas of your life. So while you may not be a natural born leader in the strictest sense, you can certainly overcome many obstacles and develop a desire and ability to lead when you are inspired to do so.

Birthday present~

A man asked his wife what she'd like for her birthday. ‘‘I’d really love to be ten again,'' she replied wistfully.

On the morning of her birthday, he got up early, made her a big breakfast and then took her off to a local amusement park.

What a day! He put her on every ride, the runaway train, the pirate’s galleon, the corkscrew roller coaster. Five hours later she staggered out of the amusement park.

Straight away, they went to a fast-food restaurant where the husband ordered his wife a burger with fries and a chocolate milkshake. Then it was off to the cinema to see the latest blockbuster, complete with popcorn and a soft drink.

Finally, the woman wobbled home with her husband and collapsed into bed, exhausted. He leaned over her with a big smile and asked, ''Well, darling, what was it like being ten again?''

She slowly opened her eyes, gazed up at him and replied; ''I meant my dress size, you idiot!''
